We are creating a simple board game, using dice and other tokens as well, such as Portal Tokens connected to geoTAGs that let players jump to any other geoTAG with a connect Portal. In the current Covid-19 situation where a lot of people are at home, this is an alternative to applications using geofencing. So how to build value? By building games and apps that use the shared public database of geoTAGs. It’s the same for websites - the more traffic they get, the more valuable they are, and the more they can charge for advertising. If people are more affluent in a certain area, then the value of real estate rises, because they can spend more in those areas. By traffic i mean, people, eyeballs, etc. The idea is simple enough - people own their virtual real estate, but if no one is using it, then what’s the value? Well, what usually gives any real estate value? It is the traffic that visits that area or point. Now anyone can own their own locations, and NOT the game that is using them. We decided to call them geoTAGs, and let the buyers of this set the radius of the area from the GPS coordinate point. This would finally allow me to finish what I had started, and enable anyone to create, sell, trade or use their own virtual real estate. I did this with a view to creating blockchain assets later down the line, but the tech wasn’t quite what I wanted at the time, so it wasn’t until late 2019, when I started researching a new standard for creating Non Fungible Tokens called ERC1155.
